Deputising for King, army chief presents Centennial Medal to retired, working JAF personnel

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, the Supreme Commander of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff Maj. Gen. Yousef Huneiti on Thursday presented the State Centennial Medal to a group of working and retired JAF officers.

Huneiti conveyed the Supreme Commander’s greetings to the honoured officers and JAF personnel, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

During the ceremony, JAF General Inspector Brig. Gen. Fakher Khleifat said that the Kingdom has always been committed to defending the causes of Arab and Islamic nations.

His Majesty had bestowed the State Centennial Medal on the JAF during the Kingdom’s celebrations of the centennial and Army Day in appreciation of JAF’s efforts to preserve the homeland’s security and stability.
