Daoud visits Bethlehem for Orthodox Christmas celebration

AMMAN — Deputising for His Majesty King Abdullah, Minister of State for Prime Ministry Affairs Sami Daoud is scheduled to participate in the Orthodox Christmas celebration in Bethlehem.

Daoud left the Kingdom on Monday for Bethlehem, where he is scheduled to meet several officials to extend his greetings on the occasion and will participate in the midnight mass at the Bethlehem’s Church of the Nativity, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The celebrations are held according to the eastern calendar of the Roman Orthodox, Assyrian, Coptic and Ethiopian Orthodox churches.
