AMMAN — The Hashemite Custodianship over Islamic and Christian holy sites in Jerusalem is a religious and historical right and a duty that Jordan is proud of, Minister of Political and Parliamentary Affairs Musa Maaytah said on Thursday.
Meeting with members of the Czech parliament, headed by Lubomir Zaorálek, Maaytah acquainted the delegates with regional developments, mainly those pertaining to the Palestinian issue, and the Kingdom’s stances towards major Middle East causes, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Zaorálek stressed his country’s keenness to support international legitimacy resolutions associated with the Palestinian cause, noting that the Czech Republic will not relocate its embassy to Jerusalem in respect for the international law.
