AMMAN — The Public Security Department (PSD) on Wednesday announced that sirens will be sounded at 6pm every day to mark the end of grocery shopping time and the prohibition of all forms of movement and commuting, even within residential neighbourhoods. Those found on the roads after the sounding of the siren will be arrested, according to a PSD statement.
The PSD affirmed that it will intensify its crackdown on vehicles that violate curfew orders and hit the streets without curfew exemption permits. The department added that vehicles that violate curfew orders will be impounded.
The PSD urged the public to adhere completely to the curfew orders, adding that no leniency will be shown to persons who defy curfew orders.
