Culture Ministry invites designers to coronation art competition

AMMAN — The Ministry of Culture on Sunday announced a competition to design a slogan for the 20th anniversary of His Majesty King Abdullah’s coronation, to reflect national achievements made by the country during His Majesty’s reign so far in various fields, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

His Majesty assumed his constitutional powers on February 7, 1999 and Jordan celebrates June 9th every year on the occasion of the King’s Ascension to the Throne, synchronising with Army Day and the Great Arab Revolt anniversary.

The ministry added that all Jordanians can participate in the competition, regardless of age, adding that the criteria for selecting the winning design are set by a specialised ministry panel. Interested designers can contact the ministry on 06/5696218 or access its website www.culture.go.jo.
