Culture minister attends ceremony to commemorate former PM Mufti

AMMAN — Deputising for Prime Minister Hani Mulki, Culture Minister Nabih Shuqum attended a ceremony at the Circassian Charity Association (CCA) to commemorate former prime minister Saeed Al Mufti, a CCA statement said. During the ceremony, Shuqum said that Mufti was a patriotic figure that contributed to the establishment of the Jordanian state.

For his part, CCA President Zuhdi Janbik said that, in addition to serving as prime minister, Mufti was a senate president, an MP and a president of the CCA. At the ceremony’s conclusion, Mufti’s family announced launching a scholarship grant named after the Mufti.
