AMMAN — Aqaba on Thursday welcomed the cruise ship “AIDA BELLA”, carrying 1,982 tourists of various nationalities. Peter Marji, director of tourism at the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA), said that the tourist programme includes excursions within Aqaba, Wadi Rum and Petra. Another cruise ship “MEIN SCHIFF2” with 2,940 tourists of different nationalities will arrive on Friday, he added. The Aqaba Cruise Terminal has seen a significant increase in the number of ships since the beginning of this year. A total of 59 cruise ships have docked at the terminal, carrying a total of 71,526 tourists, according to ASEZA figures, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
