AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Tuesday night attended a military drill carried out by units of the Special Royal Guard.

The Crown Prince, who was accompanied by members of "Haqiq" Initiative, listened to a briefing presented by the trainer on the various phases and routines of the drill.

The drill entailed protection techniques in the face of potential danger and they saw the use of live ammunition with support from combat helicopters.

Participants in the drill showed high skill in performing tasks and shooting accuracy during the different phases of the drill, a Royal Court statement said.

At the end of the drill, Crown Prince Hussein commended the advanced level of professionalism of the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF), and the preparedness of JAF to efficiently carry out its tasks, praising the high morale enjoyed by military personnel and level of coordination between the various units involved in the training.

The "Haqiq" Initiative, one of the Crown Prince Foundation’s programmes, seeks to enhance the personalities of Jordanian youth, both male and female, from the ninth and tenth grades in all public schools across the Kingdom.

The goal is achieved, according to related literature, through the implementation of leadership programmes including training workshops, field visits and camps to improve the interaction of youth with their peers throughout Jordan and enable them to make a positive impact on society.
