Crown Prince meets Kuwaiti investors

AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein, on Tuesday in Kuwait, reaffirmed Jordan’s keenness to expand economic and investment cooperation with Kuwait.

At a meeting with a number of Kuwaiti investors in the industry, real estate and trade sectors, Crown Prince Hussein noted that Kuwaiti investments are among the largest in Jordan, saying this reflects the distinguished level of ties between the two countries, under the leadership of His Majesty King Abdullah and Kuwait Emir Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah, according to a Royal Court statement.

Also during the meeting, attended by Prime Minister Bisher Khasawneh, His Royal Highness highlighted ongoing efforts by the government to develop new investment legislation, in line with best international standards and practices, to facilitate the doing of business.

Investment Minister Khairy Amr, Kuwait Minister of Finance and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Investments Abd Al Wahab Muhammad Al Rashid, Jordan’s Ambassador to Kuwait Saqr Abu Shattal, Director of the Office of the Crown Prince Mustafa Khalifeh, and a number of senior Kuwaiti officials attended the meeting.
