Crown Prince makes surprise appearance at orphans Iftar

AMMAN — HRH Crown Prince Hussein on Wednesday surprised orphans and their families by showing up for a Ramadan Iftar that was organised by the Ministry of awqaf and Islamic Affairs (MAIA).

Crown Prince Hussein was greeted by cheerful orphans and their families, who did not expect him since they were told that the Awqaf minister was hosting the Iftar.

Prince Hussein performed the prayers with attending officials and orphans then hosted around 10 children at his table for Iftar.

The Zakat Fund at the MAIA holds an annual Iftar banquet for orphans as part of celebrating the Orphan Day in the Muslim world.
