AMMAN — The National Centre for Security and Crisis Management (NCSCM) on Sunday announced the implementation of a national "safety and security" drill in cooperation with the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) and security apparatuses and various other state organisations.
The three-day drill, which will start on Monday, aims to check preparation levels and test public safety measures in various locations throughout the Kingdom.
The drill will simulate several real-life scenarios in Amman, Irbid, Karak, Aqaba, Wadi Mujib and Petra District, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The exercise requires implementing various training events with a variety of participating institutions. It will include stationing security personnel and blockades, conducting security, rescue and evacuation operations and mobilising machinery.
