AMMAN — Bombardments between the warring parties in southern Syria led to cracks in some houses at the Jordanian villages of Jaber and Sama Al Sarhan near the border, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Friday.
The owners of the houses called on the concerned authorities and the international donor agencies to provide urgent assistance to maintain the damaged houses.
Sarhan Mayor Khalaf Sarhan said that the municipality has formed a committee to evaluate and document the damage in order to send a report to the relevant agencies.
The Syrian army has been launching a heavy bombardment campaign against rebel-held areas in the southern provinces of Daraa and Quneitra since last June.
