AMMAN — The Public Prosecution has decided to take legal action against a COVID-19 patient who failed to comply with a pledge he signed to commit to home quarantine, coming into contact with others and infecting several of them with the coronavirus, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The chief public prosecutor’s office issued instructions to continue pursuing persons who have failed to honour the self-quarantine pledge they signed, as this failure constitutes a violation of the Defence Law, Defence Orders, the Public Health Law and the Penal Code, and endangers surrounding people and society at large.
