Columnist’s case referred to court

AMMAN — Amman Prosecutor General Abdullah Abul Ghanam on Tuesday referred the case against Al Rai columnist Abdulhadi Raji Al Majali to the Amman Court of First Instance.
Abul Ghanam decided to charge Majali with “divulging state secrets” in violation of the law and “verbal abuse” against an official entity.
Meanwhile, the Jordan Press Association (JPA) council decided to hold a sit-in at noon on Thursday to protest against Majali’s detention over an article he posted on Facebook.
