AMMAN — A depression and cold air mass’ effects are expected to deepen today, with further drops in temperatures and a low chance of snowfall in some areas.
Conditions will remain cold and cloudy, with a chance of scattered rain during the day throughout the Kingdom, including Aqaba, the Jordan Meteorological Department (JMD) said on Saturday.
Heavy rain is expected, with thunder and hail at times in some regions, which could lead to flooding in low-lying areas, the JMD added, calling on residents in valleys to be cautious.
The department forecast light to moderate south-westerly winds which may raise dust in desert areas.
Foggy and cold conditions are expected to continue into Monday, bringing heavy rainfall, at times accompanied by thunder and hail in some areas, which could lead to flooding in low-lying areas.
Temperatures in Amman will range between a high of 11°C and low of 5°C today, while temperatures in Aqaba should range between 22ºC and 14ºC, according to the JMD.
