AMMAN — Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) President Mohammad Allaf on Monday received a copy of the “code of conduct to enhance integrity in the private sector” from US Ambassador to Jordan Alice G. Wells and American Chamber of Commerce in Jordan President Mohammad Bataineh.
The code — jointly prepared by the ACC, the chamber and relevant Jordanian institutions — aims at enhancing integrity, transparency, and good governance in the private sector, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Allaf said the code is in line with national plans to make the private sector shoulder its responsibility and boost its role in supporting development in the Kingdom. Wells said the private sector is a main contributor to economic growth, adding that transparency attracts investments.
