AMMAN — The Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Monday announced the recovery of the remains of a Jordanian citizen who had been trapped under the rubble following the twin earthquakes that struck Venezuela.
In a statement, Foreign Ministry spokesperson Fuad Majali said that the Jordan International Search and Rescue Team assisted in recovering the remains.
He added that the ministry, through its Operations and Consular Affairs Directorate and the Jordanian Embassy in Brazil, is providing necessary support and assistance to the victim’s family, as well as to Jordanians residing in Venezuela.
