CID arrests two suspected of stealing $100,000 from vehicle

AMMAN — Criminal Investigation Department (CID) personnel have arrested two suspects of Arab nationality, while they attempted to the leave the Kingdom after allegedly stealing $100,000 from a vehicle, the Public Security Department (PSD) announced on Thursday.
According to a PSD statement, cited by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, an Arab national filed a complaint at the Central Amman CID that anonymous individuals broke the glass of his vehicle and stole $100,000.
Investigators identified the two suspects who were trying to leave the Kingdom through the Queen Alia International Airport, where agents arrested them and seized $66,000 in their possession.
The two suspects confessed to committing the theft in accomplice with a third Arab national who was still at large, the PSD added.
