AMMAN — Christians in Jordan celebrated Palm Sunday on April 17, which falls on the Sunday before Easter and commemorates Jesus’ entry into Jerusalem.
According to Christian beliefs, the city’s residents received him with palm and olive branches. Patriarch Jamal Khader prayed for solidarity with all those who "are in pain and injustice", expressing hope for a blessed week while maintaining health regulations so that all can celebrate the holidays, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Father Rifat Bader prayed for the good of Jordan and wished His Majesty King Abdullah a happy return from the recovery trip.
