AMMAN — The Jordan Media Institute (JMI) and UNICEF on Monday launched the 2018 “Child Press Award”, which seeks to encourage the production of media items related to children.
The award aims to support the contribution of journalists in covering issues and rights, limiting violence against children and building of children child-friendly culture in Jordan, according to a JMI statement.
The award comprises three categories: Print media and news websites, radio and podcast and television, video and multimedia.
Nominated news should have addressed issues of children and been published between August 1, 2017 and October 1, 2018, which marks the deadline for the application. Applications can be sent to: [email protected].
