AMMAN — The first charter flight carrying 189 tourists from Poland landed at Aqaba’s King Hussein International Airport on Monday, according to the Jordan Tourism Board (JTB).

The JTB said that the arrival marks the beginning of a “tourist air bridge” between Warsaw and Aqaba, expecting flights until the yearend with an average of one flight per week, which could be increased, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

JTB Managing Director Abdul Razzaq Arabiyat highlighted the importance of the airbridge, which aims to attract more charter planes directly to Aqaba, where tourists can start their visit to the Kingdom and see various tourist and archaeological sites across the country.
