Central region takes the stage to celebrate accession anniversary

AMMAN — Under the patronage of His Majesty King Abdullah, the Cultural Palace at the King Hussein Youth City on Friday hosted an event as part of celebrations to mark the 20th anniversary of the Accession to the Throne.

The Friday event was allocated to the central region’s governorates of Amman, Balqa, Zarqa and Madaba, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The event included a performance in which a grandfather narrated the milestones that shaped the nation and established its military, educational and health institutions.

King Abdullah, accompanied by Her Majesty Queen Rania and HRH Crown Prince Hussein, attended a ceremony at the Cultural Palace on Tuesday along with hundreds of young Jordanians from around the Kingdom.

The ceremonial Friday event showcased the stories of successful Jordanians and institutions, national songs, plays and folklore shows.
