CDD, UN official discuss empowering women of the ‘Civil Defence’

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department (CDD) Director Maj. Gen. Mustafa Bazayah and UN Women country representative to Jordan, Ziad Sheikh, on Sunday discussed the means of empowering women within the CDD.
Bazayah said that the CDD is keen on empowering women members of the CDD and enabling them in all fields of work and specialisations, as well as providing a proper working environment for them, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
Sheikh expressed his readiness to cooperate with the CDD and offer all necessary support to implement gender-based response programmes and adopting suitable training programmes for women.
