CDD divers recover body from King Abdullah Canal

AMMAN — Civil Defence Department divers on Saturday retrieved the body of a young man who drowned in the King Abdullah Canal in the Northern Shouneh region of western Irbid.
Speaking to the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Director of Muath bin Jabal Hospital, Ihsan Matalqa, said that the 23-year-old man was taken to the emergency department, but was found dead upon arrival.
The body has been transferred to the forensic medical centre in the governorate’s northern region to determine the cause of the death, Matalqa added.
