AMMAN — The Central Bank of Jordan (CBJ) on Wednesday introduced the fifth edition of the JD5 banknote into circulation, displaying the portrait of the late King Abdullah I.

The fourth and fifth editions of the JD5 banknotes will be circulated in parallel, ensuring a smooth transition for the public, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The fifth edition of the JD5 banknote incorporates cutting-edge security features that are integral to contemporary currency manufacturing practices, the CBJ announced, reiterating its commitment to upholding the highest standards of currency security and durability.

This unveiling signifies the successful issuance of all denominations from the fifth edition into circulation, comprising the JD1, JD5, JD10, JD20, and JD50 banknotes.
