Car accident claims life of Jordanian returning from umra

AMMAN — One Jordanian died and six others were injured in a car accident in Saudi Arabia while on their way back from an umra (lesser pilgrimage), a Foreign Ministry statement said on Friday.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates said that they are following up on the accident through the Jordanian Consulate in Jeddah.
Director of the umra department and Awqaf Ministry Spokesperson Yousef Qudah said in a statement that three of those injured had left hospital, while two others were still receiving medical treatment at a Saudi medical facility, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
