Cabinet approves slew of amendments

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday decided to approve the validating reasons for draft amendments to the 2023 scientific research system to develop the educational process.

The draft amendments will be sent to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau to complete issuance procedures as per the law, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

The Council of Ministers also approved an extension of previous Cabinet decisions exempting the Jordan Electric Power Company (JEPCO) from sales tax, customs duties and import fees for one year, provided that the extension of this decision shall be considered annually during the granted licensing period.

The Cabinet approved a number of cooperation and development agreements to be signed in the fields of water, energy and women's empowerment, and authorised the relevant ministers to sign them, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
