Cabinet approves rationale for radio, TV licensing bylaw

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the rationale behind the bylaw for licences of radio and television broadcasting and re-broadcasting for 2003, prior to referring the bill to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau. The bill seeks to reduce the fees by up to 50 per cent to encourage investment, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. The Council of Ministers also approved the rationale for the bylaw governing the administrative structure of the Media Commission.
