AMMAN — The Cabinet on Sunday approved the mandating reasons for the 2016 draft by-law of the National Centre for Tests, and decided to send it to the Legislation and Opinion Bureau.
The bill is aimed at expanding the authorities of the centre to include carrying out any test to gauge the proficiency of higher education students, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The draft by-law also aims at controlling the quality of higher education students, especially those with non-Jordanian secondary school.
The Cabinet also approved the mandating reasons for the Social Security Corporation insurance benefits by-law. The bill is essential because the Social Security Law requires identifying hazardous professions but no measures are specified to identify such professions.
