Cabinet approves disbursement of bread subsidies, application period

AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the disbursement of direct cash support (bread subsidies) for 2019 beneficiaries. Bread subsidies for beneficiaries from the National Aid Fund will amount to JD33 per person, while the bread subsidies for other beneficiaries amount to JD27 per person; the same amounts that were adopted in 2018.

The Cabinet also approved the application period for applying for direct cash support. The period will begin on February 20 and last for 90 days, provided that disbursements take place during March.

The Cabinet also decided to entrust the Income and Sales Tax Department to take the necessary measures for the disbursements, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
