AMMAN — The Cabinet on Wednesday approved the amendment of the 2017 by-law concerning driving licences, and the registration and licensing of vehicles, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The law stipulates providing a service to check vehicles’ data, such as the status of registration, the number of previous owners and the number of accidents, in order to prevent fraud and deception.
It also covers the issue of power of attorney, including irrevocable powers related to the sale of vehicles, to protect vehicle dealers from legal consequences resulting from the illegal use of vehicles they sell.
The Council of Ministers also approved the mandating reasons for the by-law of inspecting pharmaceuticals and cosmetics.
