AMMAN — The Cabinet, during its Sunday session, approved the draft Children Rights law for 2022. The bill is in response to the new constitutional amendments that focus on protecting childhood and enhancing the protection of children and their care through special legislation, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Tuesday.
The draft law also follows the Kingdom's ratification of the Convention on the Rights of the Child, which requires implementing legislative and administrative procedures to uphold the rights mentioned in the convention.
