Cabinet approves 2022 budget

AMMAN — The Cabinet, in a Sunday session headed by Prime Minister and Minister of Defence Bisher Al Khasawneh, approved the general budget and governmental unit budget bills for the fiscal year 2022, in preparation for referring them to Parliament to complete the constitutional procedures for approval.

Details of both bills will be announced later during a press conference. On another note, the Cabinet decided to appoint Raed Shboul as secretary general for the Ministry of Health’s Epidemiology and Communicable Diseases Affairs.
