Baptism Site set to host Epiphany celebrations Friday

AMMAN — The Tourism Ministry, in cooperation with the Baptism Site Commission and the Catholic Church, is to hold Epiphany celebrations and Christian pilgrimage at the Baptism Site on Friday.

Epiphany marks the revelation of Jesus Christ as the son of God through his baptism and the beginning of his public ministry, according to Christian beliefs.

The ministry has finalised all preparations including transportation and the celebrations plan at the site in cooperation with the relevant security bodies, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
