Bank employee stabbed in Zarqa, former employee arrested

AMMAN — Police on Wednesday arrested a person who allegedly stabbed a female bank employee and injured two others, according to the Public Security Directorate’s (PSD) spokesperson.

The police in Zarqa Governorate were informed that a former employee, had entered the branch of the bank and stabbed a female employee and injured two others, the spokesperson said.

The injured were rushed to hospital. The female employee is still undergoing treatment. The injuries of the other two employees were minor, the Jordan News Agency, Petra. The suspect, was arrested at the scene in possession of a sharp object, the spokesperson said, adding that an investigation is under way.
