Bani Mustafa opens conference on social protection, civil society

AMMAN — The government believes in the role of civil society institutions in enhancing social protection, Social Development Minister Wafa Bani Mustafa said on Tuesday. 

Inaugurating the "Social protection and civil society institutions" conference, Bani Mustafa said that the event reflects the government's interest in civil society institutions at all levels, including human rights, decision making and policy making in social protection, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported. 

The minister expressed the government's firm belief that social protection cannot be realised without considering the role of civil society institutions, the private sector and all national institutions as main partners to the government.
