Bahraini delegation briefed on Passports Department’s e-transformation plan

AMMAN — A Bahraini delegation on Sunday checked on progress in the e-transformation plan and the electronic system for biometric measures of the Civil Status and Passports Department (CSPD).

Receiving Deputy CEO of e-transformation at the Bahraini Information and E-government Authority Zakaria Khajah, CSPD Director General Fahd Omoush, said that e-transformation is part of Royal directives to alleviate procedures for citizens and develop the level of services, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Omoush said that the department has connected 46 Jordanian embassies with the CSPD database system due to the large number of Jordanian residing abroad, noting that the rest of embassies will also be connected to the system in the next phase.

Khajah reviewed the e-transformation process in Bahrain, noting that the meeting provided an opportunity to get acquainted with the e-transformation plan of the CSPD.
