AMMAN — Jordanian-Azerbaijani relations are witnessing progress at various levels, with both countries exerting efforts to further develop them, Azerbaijani Ambassador to Jordan Rasim Rzayev said on Wednesday.

In a press statement carried by the Jordan News Agency, Petra, Rzayev referred to efforts aimed at launching a direct flight route between Amman and Baku due to the improvement in tourism over the last two years, and the increasing number of investors and businesspeople looking to expand businesses.

The diplomat also expressed Azerbaijan's keenness to boost cooperation in all fields, in a way that would serve the interest of the two countries and develop cultural exchange. Rzayev praised His Majesty King Abdullah's efforts to help work out peaceful solutions to regional issues, including the Palestinian cause, and commended the Kingdom’s hosting of Syrian refugees and providing humanitarian assistance to them.
