AMMAN — The number of Jordanian tourists to Azerbaijan increased by 20 per cent in 2019, according to Azerbaijani Deputy Foreign Minister Ramiz Hasanov.
During a meeting with a Jordanian media delegation currently visiting Azerbaijan to cover the country’s legislative elections, Hasanov highlighted the two countries’ “strong” relations, affirming Jordan and Azerbaijan’s keenness on developing economic, investment, trade and tourism cooperation, given the existing “high-level” political ties.
He also expressed appreciation for the Kingdom’s stances within the framework of international organisations, notably the UN and the Organisation of the Islamic Conference, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported on Sunday.
The official added that his country condemns all forms of terrorism and supports the international community’s efforts of combatting terrorist acts.
