Awqaf minister meets Aqaba imams, preachers

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh on Saturday met with Aqaba imams and preachers, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.

Khalaileh stressed the important role of imams, preachers, female preachers and muezzins in promoting the mosque’s message in society, which represents the message of the Ministry of Awqaf and its vision of spreading the tolerant teachings of Islam, its moderate approach and noble values.

He praised the role of those in charge of mosques in the Kingdom, who set good examples and instill faith in worshippers.

Khalaileh called on imams and preachers to urge people to adhere to COVID protocols.
