Awqaf minister calls on imams to perform ‘prayers for the absent’ for Gaza, Palestine martyrs

AMMAN — Awqaf Minister Mohammad Khalaileh on Thursday called on all imams to perform the “prayers for the absent” following the Friday prayer, with the aim of praying for the martyrs who lost their lives in the Gaza Strip and occupied Palestine. The special communal funeral prayers are performed by Muslims for those who die in foreign lands and do not receive a proper burial.
