Authorities working to facilitate Jordanians’ return from Libya

AMMAN — Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Sabah Al Rafie on Friday said the ministry has been following up, during the official holiday of Eid Al Fitr, on the measures taken to facilitate travel procedures for Jordanians in Libya who wish to return home.
Jordan’s embassies in Tunis and Tripoli have been working, in coordination with local authorities, to facilitate travel to Jordan via Tunisia, she said.
Moreover, the ministry directed Jordan’s embassy in Tunis to contact Royal Jordanian and other airlines to reserve seats for Jordanians, in light of the increasing pressure on flights, she said.
Foreign Minister Nasser Judeh had telephoned his Tunisian counterpart Monji Hamed and discussed ways to facilitate entry into Tunisia for Jordanians in Libya, after frequent closures of Libyan borders and airports.
