Authorities to integrate students with minor, medium disabilities into regular schools

AMMAN — Higher Council for the Affairs of Persons with Disabilities (HCD) Secretary General Amal Nahhas on Wednesday said a tripartite committee has drawn up a plan to integrate students with minor and medium disabilities into the general education programme.

The committee comprises members of the ministries of social development and education, in addition to the HCD, she said, adding that the plan will be implemented in three stages over five years.

The first stage will start this year and schools will be chosen and prepared to serve this purpose.
