Authorities destroy seized drugs

AMMAN — The Anti-Narcotics Department (AND) on Wednesday destroyed 29.428 million Captagon pills, 2,630 kilogrammes of hashish and 1,478 kilogrammes of marijuana, according to AND Director Brig. Gen. Anwar Tarawneh.

The destroyed narcotics were seized in 64 drug trafficking, possession and smuggling cases, where 123 suspects of several nationalities were involved, Tarawneh added in a Public Security Department statement.
