Austrian company lands cable car tender in Ajloun development zone

AMMAN — The Jordan Free and Development Zones Group (JFDZG) has decided to refer the cable car project tender in Ajloun’s Suwwan Development Zone to an Austrian company, JFDZG Chairman Khalaf Hmeisat said on Wednesday.

The tender for designing, manufacturing and installing the cable car by the central tender committee was made after studying the offers of three international European companies, Hmeisat said as reported by the Jordan News Agency, Petra.

He added that the cable car line will be 2.85 kilometres long. The cable car project will cover 142 dunums and offer an “exclusive” view of the castle of Ajloun. There will be 40 cars, each carrying a maximum of eight people.
