AMMAN — The Audit Bureau on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the administrative oversight field with the Administrative Control Authority (ACA) of Libya.
The memo was signed by Ibrahim Majali, the bureau's acting head, and ACA Chairman Suleiman Shanti in the presence of Libyan Ambassador to Jordan Abdul Basit Badri, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The MoU will be valid for a three-year period within the framework of exchanging expertise, professional consultations, training courses, visits, meetings and information to review work mechanisms of joint interest, which would serve the two countries' monitoring efforts.
Majali noted that the two sides, under the memo, will seek to enhance cooperation in the areas of training, capacity-building development and remove obstacles that hinder realising common goals in various frameworks.
Shanti reviewed ACA's work mechanism and the legislation governing its operations.
