AMMAN — The Audit Bureau on Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Ernst & Young-Jordan, marking a step forward in advancing professional capabilities within the bureau. 

This cooperation aims to foster further relations between the two sides through specialised professional training; based on international best practices, according to a bureau statement.

President of the Audit Bureau Radhi Hamadeen expressed his optimism about the transformative impact of this partnership on institutional capacities. 

He highlighted the importance of knowledge sharing with global audit leaders, including Ernst & Young - Jordan, renowned for their consultancy and training excellence.

The MoU establishes a comprehensive framework outlining the responsibilities and duties of each party, emphasising specialised training in critical areas such as International Financial Reporting Standards, International Auditing Standards, internal control auditing, and IT systems auditing. 

All such programmes are provided to raise auditors' competency level and maintain current knowledge of the latest developments in the field.

Hamadeen stressed that confidentiality is paramount under the MoU, ensuring strict compliance with applicable laws and regulations governing both organisations.

Managing Partner at Ernst & Young-Jordan Raed Ahmad expressed his enthusiasm for the collaboration, highlighting the mutual benefits of leveraging expertise. 

He affirmed Ernst & Young-Jordan's commitment to delivering high-quality training programmes and sharing best practices in audit methodologies and technological solutions.
