ASEZA chief, Swiss ambassador discuss cooperation in marine research

AMMAN — Chief Commissioner of Aqaba Special Economic Zone (ASEZA) Nayef Bakhit and Swiss Ambassador to Jordan Lucas Jasser on Wednesday discussed cooperation in conducting studies on the diverse coral reefs in the marine reserve in the Gulf of Aqaba.
Bakhit, during the meeting, reiterated ASEZA’s readiness to support coral discovery and protection, and prevent the pollution of Aqaba’s marine environment.
The envoy, for his part, lauded the “distinguished” Jordanian-Swiss relations in all fields, stressing keenness on conducting studies related to Aqaba's coral reefs’ conservation and protecting the port city’s marine environment, according to the Jordan News Agency, Petra.
