AMMAN — Around 25 per cent of Jordanians, 1.8 million, have allergies, and the number increases annually by 5 per cent, an allergy and immunology specialist said Monday.
Hani Ababneh, president of the Jordanian Society of Allergy and Immunology, said the the monthly cost of diagnosis and treatment of one person exceeds JD150, causing a burden for both the individual and the country.
