Army thwarts infiltration attempt

AMMAN — The Southern Military Zone on Tuesday thwarted an infiltration attempt by four Sri Lankan nationals.
A military source from the Jordan Armed Forces-Arab Army (JAF) said that Border Guards applied the rules of engagement, and arrested the individuals before referring them to the concerned authorities, the Jordan News Agency, Petra, reported.
The source stressed that JAF personnel have a zero tolerance policy towards infiltration and smuggling attempts, or any activities that threaten Jordan’s national security.
